Jami answers your questions about our Jewish Care integration

As we announced recently, Jami and Jewish Care will soon become one. We’ve put together answers to questions from the Jami community about this exciting news. Here are the answers to some of those questions, which we hope address any concerns you may have.

Yes. The Jami name and brand will remain. We have built a fantastic reputation in the community that many people have come to rely on.

Yes. All our front-line services, as well as education and campaigning, will be unaffected. These services will continue to be delivered with the values of lived experience, professional expertise, and service-user involvement at their core.

Absolutely. We will continue to deliver services for those in the community whose mental illness and distress makes everyday life a struggle.

Head Room will remain a much-valued community hub on the high street, providing a free programme of groups and activities to support mental health. All profits will continue to support Jami’s mental health services in the community.

Yes. The money you gave to Jami has been specifically ringfenced for our work and services and this isn’t going to change.

Yes please! The prevalence of mental illness, distress and trauma among young people and adults is increasing and we want to make sure that the needs of the community continue to be met effectively. Your support remains as important as ever in ensuring that Jami’s vital mental health services can be delivered now and in the future.

There is no need to change your will. Jami will retain its registered charity number, so you don’t have to do anything. Any gift you have left to Jami, which we are very grateful for, will go directly towards funding mental health services in the community.

Yes. We will continue to need our incredible volunteers to support our services and the community. Your current role will stay the same unless you are looking for different opportunities. If you are, please get in touch with Sophie.Chappell@jamiuk.org
