"Jami helps to normalise mental illness. You’re not looked down on. Instead, you’re built up.”
Our vital services, which have been a lifesaver to Carly, receive no government funding. They rely entirely on the generosity of our community. Please help us this Rosh Hashanah.
Carly’s Story
Having no support or family nearby, Carly (38), who has had mental health issues since she was 11 years old, found herself isolated and in a very dark place.
Without hope that things could get better, she attempted to take her own life. Meeting her Jami peer support worker was lifesaving.
“She really helped me with my suicidal thoughts. She understands what it’s like to struggle. Because she’s been where I’ve been, I don’t need to explain. She completely understands.”
