This September, for the third time in six years, Lucy Benjamin chose to cut her long brunette locks so that she could raise money for charity.
Lucy donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust who provide real hair wigs to children across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
Lucy also chose to fundraise for her hair cut, donating some money to cover the cost of making the wig and donating the rest to Jami.
Lucy said she chose to donate the money to Jami as ‘Unfortunately mental health is an extremely prevalent concern in our society and is also an issue that is often over looked or disregarded as not truly meriting the attention it should be given. I hope that we, as a society, can overcome the stigma surrounding mental health in the near future. Donations to a charity supporting such taboo and yet common issues are much appreciated, and I believe that they will go towards, not only helping individuals who are suffering, but bettering our society as a whole.’

In total Lucy raised over £1,500! Lucy is a total inspiration and we are very grateful for her generous donation to Jami.
Here are some before and after photos of her haircut.
