Open Mic Night at Head Room for JMHS
As part of the annual Jami Mental Health Shabbat, we’re excited to invite you to a special edition of our Open Mic Night—an evening dedicated to creativity, connection, and celebration.
We especially welcome acts that explore themes of mental health, community, and the ways we support one another. Whether through music, poetry, comedy, or storytelling, we’d love to see your unique perspective—uplifting, thought-provoking, or anywhere in between!
Showcase Your Talents: Performer slots are up to 5 minutes each – email karen.conway@jamiuk.org to reserve your slot.
Be Part of the Audience: Get comfy, grab a seat, and enjoy the show!
Timing: Doors open at 5:00pm and performances begin at 5:30pm
Whether you’re taking to the stage or cheering from the audience, our Open Mic Night is all about celebrating creativity, fostering community, and having fun. We can’t wait to see what you bring to this special evening!
Example performances could be:
• Reading a piece you have written – such as a poem, some spoken word or a short story
• Playing an instrument and or singing
• Stand up (or sit down!) comedy
• Dancing
• A short piece of theatre
• Sharing something you have created, like a comic book, or some artwork
• Or something else!
There will also be an opportunity to purchase drinks from the bar 😊
Please note at this event we will be fundraising for Jami
