Head Room Courses

Jami Head Room Education provides learning and engagement for adults and young people across the Jewish community.

Head Room Education provides outreach to communities and a programme to schools and youth movements.

Alongside a range of personal and professional development courses and seminars we run conferences and events.

We are the Jewish community’s lead provider of the full range of Mental Health First Aid England Courses ensuring we are better equipped to support each other’s mental health.

Come and learn with us whether you want to find out how to better manage stress on one of our evening courses or explore with us on a 5-week daytime course that will provide you with both thinking space and support.

Our team of personable and enthusiastic facilitators work hard to research and develop our courses to ensure they are high quality, thoughtful, engaging and enjoyable.

If you are a volunteer, a professional, a young person or a parent we also have courses especially tailored for you so that you can learn alongside other people who share similar interests and experiences.

Have a look at our prospectus to find out more.

We curate an exciting range of evening events at our Head Room Café during term time. For writers and those that love words a regular Open Mic evening will engage and entertain you. If you fancy getting into current affairs in mental health our Think Tank discussion group is for you. For young adults join our Get Together café hangout. Watch our social media channels for exclusive events for under 18’s too.

We also provide a weekly Community Conversation inspired by the French Debat Café. These are opportunities for a great conversation in our welcoming café environment.

“I’m a more confident person today by coming on these courses. Back then, just getting through the door was a huge anxiety. I was really vulnerable. Being with others, hearing their views, thoughts and feelings when I had been living with painful social anxiety and been so isolated before, was a breakthrough. I’ve also reconnected with my love of poetry and my spark for life.”
