We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated person with the ability to work autonomously, to contribute to the ongoing development of Jami’s referral pathway and duty process. You will have exemplary assessment and communication skills and the ability to work decisively in making good professional decisions and offering guidance and support to others.

Acting as the initial point of contact with Jami services you will provide the highest standards of initial assessment, support and guidance to people who contact Jami – referring them into Jami services, signposting to other agencies and giving information.

You will build effective liaison and partnership relationships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations increasing your knowledge of services available in the wider community whilst increasing the community’s knowledge of Jami.

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and highly motivated mental health professional with significant experience working with children and young people to join our duty team.

As the first point of professional contact you will use exceptional assessment skills to determine level of need and advise and signpost to appropriate Children and Young Peoples services and organisations within the Jewish community and beyond.  You will undertake assessments in conjunction with the young person, their parents or carers and other agencies, to determine the most appropriate action from this initial point. You will also respond to queries providing the appropriate information and guidance.

In addition, you will map out services available within the Jewish community and beyond for children and young people, identifying gaps in provision.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be café assistants at our Headroom Café in Golders Green, who would be able to greet and seat customers, explain the menu, take orders and process them through the till, serve food from the kitchen and give bills as well as take payments.

The role also involves engaging and interacting with our customers, helping to create a good atmosphere as well as promoting the work we do at Jami.
